TED D. SKINNER Ted Douglas Skinner was born to Pastor M.W. Skinner and his wife Beulah M. Skinner on June 19, 1940, in Bremen, Indiana. He passed away peacefully at Harbor-view Medical Center in Seattle on April 28, 2017, surrounded by his wife, his children, and their spouses. While he will be greatly missed, he is now free from pain, and at rest in his eternal home. Ted grew up for the most part in Oregon with short stints in Illinois, Northern California, and Idaho. He graduated from Springfield High School, Springfield, OR, in 1958. He attended Pacific Bible College (known now as Warner Pacific College), Portland, OR, in 1958, where he met his future bride, Sharon Elaine Ralston. They were married on February 28, 1959, in Springfield, OR, after a whirlwind courtship, and celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in February of this year. Ted and Sharon moved to San Diego, CA, in 1960, where they enjoyed many adventures together, including forming, managing, and singing in numerous Southern Gospel Quartets beginning in 1971. The most recent, the New Covenant Quartet, was co-founded in the Tri-Cities with good friend, Bob Tabor, who is now singing around the Throne of God with Ted right now! In 1990, Ted and Sharon had moved back to the Pacific Northwest, eventually settling in the Tri-Cities, where Ted worked as a Commercial Vehicle Inspector with Washington State Patrol until his retirement. Ted is survived by his lovely wife, Sharon Skinner, his children, Valerie (Chuck) Feth, Kevin (Sylvia) Skinner, and Brian (Cheryl) Skinner, his grandchildren, Mandy (Zac) Carpenter, Roni (Chad) Olivier, Beka (Caleb) Schlegel, Tim Feth, David (Jaqueline) Skinner, Matthew (Georgia) Skinner, Michael Skinner, Brett (Rachel) Skinner, and Natalie (Andrew) Moberly, and great-grandchildren, Cael, Gable, Lincoln, Louden, Henderson, and Xander Carpenter, Cameron and Matthew Rex Olivier, Desi, Petey, and Wongani Schlegel, Kiera Skinner, and Riley Skinner. Also surviving him is his beloved brother, Eric (Sharon) Skinner, in laws Don (Frosty) Ralston, Jim (Mimi) Ralston, and numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family. Ted's Celebration of Life service will be held at Gracepoint Church of God, 1915 N. Road 84, Pasco, WA, 99301, at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 20, 2017.
