VIVENCIA (VIVIAN) PARAGOSO COLLADO Einan's at Sunset Vivencia (Vivian) Paragoso Collado passed in her sleep on February 28, 2017 at the age of 94. She was born in Cebu, Philippines on April 15, 1922 to Pedro and Anastacia Paragoso, the first of five children. She immigrated with her parents to Ewa, Hawaii as a 9-month-old infant. She was in the first graduating class at Waipahu High School. She was a singer and pianist that performed in Filipino language radio broadcasts and eventually married the radio show host. On December 7, 1941 she was on her way to a radio broadcast and was traveling past the Pearl Harbor Nimitz gate when Pearl Harbor was attacked and close to the battleship Arizona. On April 15, 1942 Vivian married Doroteo Collado, Sr. in Honolulu, HI. She was a homemaker and was in charge of quality assurance for a Hawaiian fashion company at the time of her retirement. After retiring in 1987 Vivian moved to Alexandria, MN with Doroteo, Sr. to live with Dan and his family. But the winters were too much for her and she moved to Richland after her husband, Doroteo, Sr., passed in December 1988. She enjoyed crocheting, singing, gardening and solving puzzles. She is survived by her sons, Doroteo, Jr. (Rosaline), Daniel (Angele) and Darby (Catherine) and by her 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Vivian was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church since her move to Richland. A Rosary will be held at Christ the King Church at 10 AM on March 17, 2017. A Memorial Mass will follow the Rosary at 11 AM followed by a reception at the church. Graveside service will be at 2:30 PM at Einan's Sunset Gardens.
