SURKO, Alice Ann October 14, 1935 - April 19, 2021 It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Alice Ann Surko. "AKA DIAMOND LIL" Alice is survived by children Bill (Julia), Bonnie (Alan), Gerry and daughter-in-law Patty. Grandchildren Katherine, Matthew, Sean, Clayton, and Conner, and Sister Linda. Predeceased by husband George in 1990 and long-time partner Joe. Siblings Jerry, Lorraine, Shirley and Florence. Alice was born in Regina, SK. The family went on to reside in Vancouver, then moved to Ladner in 1972. Family and friends meant the world to her. She loved to travel, play cards, music, and dancing. Alice retired in 2000 after 30 years as a lab technician at BCCDC Heather Pavilion in Vancouver, where she bonded with numerous friends over the years. After retiring, she worked at Ladner Save on Foods as a demo lady; a job she thoroughly enjoyed. Special thanks to Dr. Long and Dr. Gemeinhardt and the wonderful staff at Kin Village West Court. Alice will be deeply missed by all, may she Rest in Peace. No service will be held at this time due to COVID-19. Online condolences may be made at whom have been entrusted with the arrangements.
