Idalice "Ikey" J. Lee
Huxley - Idalice "Ikey" J. Lee, 95, of Huxley passed away March 27, 2021 at Ballard Creek Assisted Living in Huxley. Private family graveside services will be at a later date at Fjeldberg Church Cemetery near Huxley.
Idalice was born on August 18, 1925 in Hayward, MN to Elmer and Charlotte (Veland) Dobbe. She graduated from Huxley High School in 1943 and married Leonard Lee on February 26, 1944. He passed away on February 25, 2001. She lived most of her life in the Huxley area where she and Leonard farmed and raised their four sons. She was a member of Fjeldberg Lutheran Church. Idalice enjoyed attending her birthday club luncheons, playing cards, reading, and taking and organizing annual vacations to Minnesota and then to Canada. She was an excellent cook, something she inherited from her mother. She loved to visit and spend time with her family and friends.
Idalice is survived by three sons, Dennis (Joan) Lee of Loveland, CO., Charles (Kathy) Lee of Huxley and Robert Lee of Saguache, CO; a daughter-in-law, Peggy Lee of Huxley; eight grandchildren, Brian, Aaron, Mitchell, Linette, Jason, Jeff, Amy and Scott; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Darlene Freed of Waukee and Beverly (Richard) Anderson of Lakewood Ranch, Fl and three sisters-in-law, Marilyn Green, Gerri Dobbe and Virginia Lee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard; son, Steven; grandson, Darin Lee; two brothers, Ron and Earl Dobbe and a sister, Yvonne "Daisy" Fjelland.
Memorials may be made to Fjeldberg Lutheran Church.
