My dear sister Debi - Growing up with you was a hoot and a half. Remember when you kidnapped the baby pig at Aunt Katherine's farm? Remember when you dared me to jump off the roof? And I did! Remember eating ice cream and watching chiller movies on Saturday night at Grandma's, our shared Beatle-mania, emptying Early's piggy-bank to rent horses at the stable, practicing going to confession in our bedroom closet (you always wanted to be the priest!), swimming in any and every pool we could get to. And, oh my gosh, the time we broke the front window when mom wasn't home and we called the police to tell them someone threw a rock through it, and the cops came and, with a smirk, asked why the glass was on the outside?
You were fearless growing up. I wish I could have had some of that fearlessness, but it was your bravery and stubborness that made you my protector. I know our lives weren't all sunshine and lollipops, but we had each other.
You will be in my heart forever.
