My condolences go out to the family. Ann came from that great Brandtner family that was always fun loving and caring, always looking out for family. As a great nephew living in Minnesota, I never got to see aunt Ann very often. But when we got together as a family, it was like we'd always been together. When someone got sick or needed prayers, aunt Ann was always there. My mom always spoke very highly of her aunt Ann as well as did mom's sister - Sr. Mary Ellen. We visited Sr. Mary Ellen the day before she died last week and had a very nice talk with Sr. We talked about all the Brandtner aunts and uncles and about her family and how much fun they always seemed to have when they got together. It was something I never wanted to miss! I guess Sr. Mary Ellen swung through Arizona on her way to heaven to pick up Ann. Now they can start more of the family partying in heaven.
Godspeed

Ann Baker was one of the most influential people in my life. Although she had been my stepmom since I was 5, It wasn't until I was sixteen that we became very good friends. Somehow then, we needed each other. She shared many stories of her great love of Berger and companionship with my father. As a young adult, many times I called my parents house and as soon as my dad heard me crying, he would say, "I'll get Mom!" This wonderful woman shared her strength and love with all who enterd her life and was the glue that kept our crazy family one. My only daughter was named after, not my biological mother, but to the woman who became my mentor and taught me so much. I will miss Ann but carry her forever in whom I have become. Love always, "Little Ann", (Annette)
