Bettie J. MAZEL Obituary
MAZEL, Bettie J. 97, born December 20, 1920 in Detroit Michigan, daughter of Gerald J. Moynihan and Marie G. Connelly (Moynihan) of Detroit Michigan, passed from natural causes, January 27, 2018. Preceded in death were her brother: Gerald J. Moynihan ll, husband Anthony (Tony) G. Mazel and her sons, Michael A. Mazel, Timothy B. Mazel and Gregory P. Mazel. Bettie is survived by her children, Maureen A. Nuerath, Ellen M. Mazel, Kathleen L. Mazel, Mary Lynn Kline, Christina M. Bradford and Kenneth G. J. Mazel of Tucson. Bonnie M. Shultz of Cotati Calif. and Mary Lee Davidson of Boise Idaho. Bettie is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 31, great-great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-great-grandchildren. Bettie and Tony were Tucsonans since 1948. Owned and operated "The White Chief Market" on the corner of Pima and Swan from 1948 to 1957. (see: historic photos of Tucson). Bettie was director of Burn Unit at St. Mary's Hospital, Tucson, from 1969 to 1994. This was her passion. We love you mom. Burial Service at Holy Hope Cemetery Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. Followed by: Celebration of Mass and a good "Ole" 'Irish Cele' at The Mazel Family Home.
