MAKRIS, Despina Siaggas, May 17, 1944 - February 5, 2018. We celebrate and honor the life of Despina Siaggas Makris, cherished wife, sister, godmother, aunt, and friend who passed into eternal life on February 5, 2018. This precious and caring woman is survived by her husband, Nicholas Makris of Tucson, AZ; brother, Harry Siaggas of Milwaukee, WI; and brother, Spiros Siaggas of Duluth, GA, brother-in- law, Chris Makris; her sister-in-laws, Stacy Varon (Michael), and Libby Scaramella. Despina was preceded in death by her parents, Panoyotis and Georgia Siaggas of Milwaukee, WI. Extremely loyal and devoted to the many people she loved, she dedicated her life to the happiness of others. Although sadness consumes family and friends who love and will miss her, we are empowered and comforted by the strength of her character and her vivacious personality and sense of humor that will forever be in our hearts. The Funeral Service will take place on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Holy Resurrection Antiochian Orthodox Church at 11:30 a.m. Her final resting place will be in Milwaukee, WI (date and timing of her service to be determined). In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to a or to the Disabled or Vietnam Veterans of America. Arrangements entrusted to ANGEL VALLEY FUNERAL HOME.
