Dear Darling Family,

George and I were sorry to learn about your dad, grand dad, and great grand dad's passing. We were sorry to miss you all as we were in Albuquerque visiting family. You are all a beautiful legacy to the life that Bert and Mary created together. You have lives full of the love of family and have always made time together a priority. What a tribute to your dad and mom. We only knew Bert as "The Don" when we bought our home in "Darling Territory"! We enjoyed getting to know Bert and Mary and some of you as well. Keep living the family centered lives you are leading. Bert and Mary will forever be smiling down on you. They must be so proud.
Lots of love to you all,

Nancy,

Your dad was one of my very favorite human beings. Remember him always with a wonderful smile on his face with such a warm, kind heart. Remember him mostly during our high school years at your home and the football games. He was a wonderful man!

Our heartfelt condolences to the Darling family on the loss of their father, grandfather and great grandfather. We met Bert as members of Skyline Country Club, and Hank played golf with Bert in the Swingers Group. Bert was also part of SCC's Bowling League and was a force to be reckoned with! After bowling a group of us would get together at the Black Angus for drinks, snacks, good conversation and lots of laughs--and Bert was right there with us. Bert was a joy to know and always had a smile on his face. He will be missed by his many friends and business associates.

To all the Darling family: My aunt, Mary Shadley, lived next to your family on Cecelia. I drove by just last week with my niece. My immediate family lived there for about 4 months in 1956. My Mom and Aunt Mary kept up that friendship for years and I remember visiting your Mom near El Con. Our families move on, but it is always tough. You are a part of your Dad and your Mom - how lucky you are.
