Redge occupies a special niche in my life. While he was assigned to the Flathead Forest I had a chance to renew fraternity ties.So one afternoon he broke with Forest Service protocol and called me direct with a job offer everyone aspires to in the FS. While my boss felt a little bent out of shape by not having that opportunity, I think for Redge it was a Frat Brother to Frat
Brother honor for him to extend the job of a lifetime offer. I have always remembered him for it......... He was a good guy.
