CLARKE, Virginia (née Dunson), 91, passed away October 7, 2017 in Granbury, TX, home of daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Scott Thompson, and where her children Kathryn Daniel and Christopher Clarke had traveled to share her final hours. Born December 24, 1925 in Falls County, TX to Reverend Wallace and Mozelle Dunson, Virginia earned a B.A. from Texas Wesleyan College and Southwest University. On June 28, 1946, she married Willis H. Clarke, Jr., whose career took them to many homes in the US and abroad. Settling in Tucson in 1972, she joined Christ Church United Methodist (CCUM) and became a dedicated choir member. In addition to her three children, Virginia's survivors include brother, Wallace N. Dunson, Jr.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and her devoted "second" family in Tucson, Joan and Dave Ashcraft, and sons, Chris and Tim. Virginia's Tucson friends are invited to celebrate her life as a generous friend and woman of deep faith at a Memorial event hosted by her children on Saturday, March 17, 2018, 2:00 p.m., at CCUM, 655 N.
