John DENNY Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 28, 2016.
DENNY, John L., Jr. "Jack", 84, died September 22, 2016. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama, to John L. Denny, Sr., and Miriam Stamm Denny. When he was three months old, the family moved to Southern California, where he grew up. Jack graduated from Huntington Park High School, then Stanford University. He married Stanford classmate, Anne Hood. After two years in the army, he attended the University of California Berkeley, where he earned a PhD in statistics. He then served in the mathematics departments of Indiana University, University of California Riverside, and -- for many years -- the University of Arizona. He retired as Professor Emeritus of Mathematics and Professor Emeritus of Radiology. He is survived by his wife, Anne; his sister, Joan Denny Bliss, and nieces and nephews. A private Memorial Service will be held soon for family. Memorials may be made to the Museum of Contemporary Art, 265 S. Church Ave., Tucson, 85701 or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one in death can make us feel helpless. May you gain strength from God as your pour out your heart to Him in prayer.
