I have fond memories of spending time at George's cabin and gathering firewood in the Chihuahuas. I remember breaking the handle of George's sledge hammer while trying to split wood. George expressed no anger or upset and had a spare handle waiting in the tool shed. I loved his cheerful response to anything I had to offer in the way of conversation. Both being hard of hearing we apparently sometimes only had parallel conversations. But I believe we were both pleased with each others company. I'll miss him.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. I remember the first time I met your father. He was tall, jubilant and a very confident gentleman. He was always courteous and positive. I will continue to have nothing but fond memories of the times he would come visit us at the dorm. I know you will miss your father as I do mine but with time, the pleasant memories and the happy times you spent with him somehow make it easier. God bless you, your families and your father.

Uncle George, Uncle Tom, Dad and Marie were all cut from the same fun loving cloth! He was always fun to be around, always someone you knew you could turn to - heck, he even let a few friends and I borrow the cabin one Thanksgiving knowing full good and well we were college kids up to nothing but shenanigans :)! Loved him/will miss him/am 100% sure he's loving every minute of heaven!
