Richard Keith "Rick" McLain Obituary
TUSCALOOSA Richard “Rick” Keith McLain, age 59, of Tuscaloosa, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 10, 2013. He was at home surrounded by his loving family. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Capstone Church. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roland McLain, and his brother, Douglas McLain.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Stacie S. McLain; daughters, Ragan Christian (Jack) of Birmingham and Shelley LeBlanc (Louis III) of Carrollton, Ga.; grandsons, Cody, Clay, and Colt Christian, and Bennett and Brooks LeBlanc; mother, Eulene McLain of Flomaton; brother, Mark McLain (Darlene) of Pensacola, Fla.; sister, Kathy Jones (Joey) of Fenton, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

Rick attended the University of Alabama in the early 1970s, majored in accounting, and played football under Coach Paul “Bear” Bryant. He worked for Gulf States Paper Corporation for 29 years and was currently the CFO for Southeast Logistics, Inc. He was a member of Capstone Church and the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Among various interests and hobbies, his favorite thing was spending time with his family, especially his five grandsons.

Rick's impeccable character, superb work ethic, loyalty, and integrity were evident to all around him. Above all, his remarkable faith in the Lord was the foundation of his life that guided him each day.

Pallbearers include Josh Reese, W.C. Reese, Doug Johnson, Terrell Carr, Arthur Johnson, Ray Maxwell, Bill Jordan, and Stan Acker.

The family wishes to thank Dr. John Dubay, the nurses and staff of the Manderson Cancer Center, and Hospice of West Alabama.
