Willard Henry Wyatt Obituary
TUSCALOOSA - Willard Henry Wyatt, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., went home to Heaven on September 12, 2018 at the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center. He was looking forward to seeing Jesus and many family and friends awaiting his arrival home. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Memory Chapel with Dr. Donald Payne officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mae Wyatt; brother, James Wyatt; sisters, Dorothy Largin, Inez Johnson, Eloise Hinton and Kathy White; sons, Larry Harris, Kenneth Harris; grandsons, Zach McNutt and Cory Harris.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret B. Wyatt; daughters, Carolyn McNutt (Robert) and Brenda Wilson (Ray); sisters, Martha Ozier (Clarence) and Mary Roycroft; brothers, William Wyatt (Karin); brothers-in-law, Ronald Hinton and Gene Largin; grandchildren, Lonnie Harris (Pam), Tina Wood (Doug), Heather Gray (Steven), Chad Harris (Catherine), Richard Wilson and Gina Osborne (Michael); and several great-grandchildren.
Willard and Margaret were married 57 years and enjoyed traveling together to many places. He served his country with pride during the Korean Conflict. He was honored with several medals. He was employed by B.F. Goodrich for many years and upon retirement worked for Barkley Cadillac-GMC.
Willard was a faithful member of Forest Lake Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He had a passion for hunting and fishing, and enjoyed advising family and friends on how ""to get the big one"". He took great pleasure in telling stories of his work, outdoor experiences and childhood. He will be missed by family, friends and his little dog, Bonnie.
Pallbearers will be Chad Harris, Wyatt McCollum, Ronnie Dockery, Glenn Kennedy, Anthony Wyatt and Daryl Hale.
Honorary pallbearers are VA Hospice staff and Hospice of West Alabama.
