Dear Riggs Family,
I don't know that this will find it's way to your home, but I felt compelled to write anyway. As I read through the messages my heart melts. George helped us through some of the worst times when all others turned us away. I will forever be grateful to him for his kindness. He made a tremendous impact on our family. I am so sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Joe, Jen and family.

George was a close friend of my brother's throughout our childhood and went on several family vacations with us. He was so funny and pleasant - and an enthusiastic backpacker. A joy to be around and someone who will be truly missed.

George was a freind and colleague and will be missed by all of the staff at Judicare. He was a skillful lawyer who was willing to zealously work for clients no matter the difficulty of the case. Many people benefited from his legal knowledge and skills over the years. I have known George since high school and have wonderful memories of our days together playing football boot hockey and softball. He was one of a kind.

George was one of the nicest men we've met. A true kind and gentle soul with a strong human moral compass. We will truly miss him as many people who knew George certainly will. We'll always remember his wonderful laugh, (especially when playing pranks on him). Our condolences to you, Wendie and his daughter Liz. We know the loss of this "great guy" must be hard to bear. May God grant you peace knowing he loved you. Our love, Sue & Jack Moravec

George was passionate about his work and cared about what was happening in the lives of those he helped. He was an excellent attorney. He was a life-saver for the women he helped through his work with Alexandra House. We will miss him very much. We have lost a true friend and partner in our work to empower victims of domestic and sexual violence. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Dear Wendie, Elizabeth, Jamie & Katie,
My sympathy to all of you. We lived on St. Clair and George lived across the alley from us. Wendie, although I don't believe we have met (and Elizabeth, I think once or twice when you were little) I will always remember George as a kind, gentle and compassionate individual. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

I have many fond memories of George, him helping my husband, dancing with him at my wedding, enjoying watching he and my daughter play a quick game of peek-a-boo with my daughter in his office where my mom worked for him for over 15 years. He got a kick out of me saying "What up G?" His passing is so tragic and sad, please accept my sincerest sympathy. He will be remembered, always.

Truly sorry to hear about George's passing. George and I worked together at Applebaum's on Jefferson Avenue in St. Paul for years. We played softball together too at the U of M fields. I think the team was called the Mickey Mouse Club. He was a great guy, again, my sincere condolences....
