It was my pleasure to be his student and colleague. Many of my fondest memories from Glenwood City High School include Mr. Berg's band. The trip to Winnipeg, pop concerts, his "29 for the 10th straight time" birthday, and more. Later I would become an educator and see Ron at workshops. He was a positive role model for me and I will miss him. Dawn (Harmer) Totzke - class of '86

To the Entire Ron Berg Family: I, along with many in the city of Barron, am saddened by Ron's passing. He truly was a wonderful Christian man. I will never forget his thoughtfulness to me in 1991 when my youngest brother perished in a house fire. Kiersten, Bjorn, and Reid: I am sorry for your loss of your dad at such young ages. I am sure he will continue praying for you up in heaven.

In the late 1970's I was a student of Mr. Bergs when he directed choir and band for our high school in Glenwood City. He was one of my favorite teachers! He pushed us hard so we would sound our best for concerts and be proud of ourselves. I also took part in solo ensemble each year and did barbershop quartet with three friends. It was one of the highlights of my high school years and I have Mr. Ron Berg to thank for that. I am now a teacher myself and thank Ron for teaching me! I'm sure he will be gathering the people in heaven together for some band or choir groups to perform soon!

I remember Ron putting together a family tree years ago. I had the opportunity to visit his home for Bjorn's graduation and it was obvious that family was very important to him.
I'm thankful that he has passed on such a strong family tradition and pray that we may all take comfort in the fact that he is at rest with his heavenly family now.
