Sorry to hear of Bernie's death. Was hoping to make it to his funeral but had problems on Monday and could not make it. My wife Patti and I knew Bernie and his wife for many years as we also belonged to St thomas the apostle for many years. We just moved to St Paul in April but neither my wife or I can travel very much these days. We are living in Highlands on Graham in a senior housing facility.

Peace be to your wife, children and grandchildren. You are the inspiration I had to name my daughter Abbigail~after my mother Gail, who you often called Abbigail. I will greatly miss you.

Dear Dolly:
We're so sorry to learn of Bernie's passing. Hope and pray that this wasn't a sudden occurrence. Our thoughts and prayers and are with you and your family at this sad time. As you may - or may not - know that we have resided in Naples, FL, since 1997, so it's not possible for us to attend Bernie;s visitation or funeral service, but our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Since Wendall's Mother is no longer with us, we rarely hear of anything occuring in the Anderson side of the family -- other than David & Dennis - with whom we see or talk to frequently.
With our warm sympathy and prayers for you and your family,
Wendall & Arlys Anderson

Now, here's a nice guy! It was through fast-pitch s/ball that I first met Bernie. We went to two different schools together. Mine was the other East Side high school. If you look up the word "affable" - his picture should be next to it. I'm sorry I didn't have the opportunity to spend more time with him. No doubt-whatsoever, he will be missed.

Bernie was the life of the party and will be missed by so many. Enjoyed working with him, playing softball, basketball, volleyball and tipping a few. He had the best changeup in fast pitch softball and loved to dance, even with his bad knees. Bernie, Lois and I will miss you and hope you are in better place. Tim Savoy

Deepest sympathy Char and family
No one could tell a funny story like Bernie = Scandinavian, Italian, Irish dialects and more, he could do them all.
No one loved his wife and family more.
No one can possibly take his place.
Family, friends, co-workers, neighbors - he was loved by all and better still, everybody LIKED him.
"Old Lady Dolores" - co-worker.
