Dianne Lavonne PINE Obituary
Song stylist and jazz singer Dianne Lavonne Pine, 68, of Lake Elmo passed away on September 10, 2016. She battled cancer for many years. Pine was a Saint Paul Winter Carnival Klondike Kate and she performed in countless venues in the city. The original Kate performed during the American Gold Rush of 1898, belting out songs and charming audiences. Pine's love was singing, especially with her husband, Bob, also a professional musician. Her "day jobs" included administrative work for the Ramsey County Court and customer representative for LTCG Insurance in Woodbury. Pine is preceded in death by her mother and father, Gloria and Russell Long and her husband, Bob. She is survived by her siblings, Tom Long, Judy Dicks (husband John) and Lori Meehan (husband Mike); daughters: LaVonne and Vadra Pine; grandchildren: Brittany Sauser (husband Tyler), Tessa Charpentier (husband Ryan), Jessica Pine and VaShon Combs; great grandchildren: Cheyenne Sauser and Carson Charpentier; and nieces and nephews: Adam Long, Chelsea Stickley, Tyler Meehan, Kris and Grace Ninnemann, K.J. Carlson and Michael Lundgren. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 16 at Saint Pascal's Baylon Church, 1757 Conway Street, St. Paul. Memorials may be sent to the .
