Hank was a great supporter of parish life at St. Rose. It's been almost thirty years since I was an associate pastor there, but I will always remember his generosity and service. My prayers are with Hank and his family.

Hal and Monica,

My sincerest sympathy on the loss of your Dad. It's such a challenging thing losing a parent. Not sure if you remember me but I lived across the street for my first fourteen years and I, like so many, will never forget your Dad's kindness. We didn't interact much but I was terribly unhappy when my parents told me we were moving away from Ryan Ave. I remember storming out of the house and heading over to the park next to your backyard. I didn't realize your Dad was out in the yard but he heard me crying and we ended up having the most unexpectedly wonderful (and for that young girl, reassuring) conversation. His kindness, and willingness to soothe that young girl from across the street, will never be forgotten.

warmly,
Mary K Weinhagen

To Hank's Family and Friends,

I would just like to offer you my sincerest condolences on the passing of your Dad/Grandpa/ Great-Grandpa/Friend. I wish I would have been able to shake his hand and Thank him for serving our Country while he was alive. But, I am Thanking him now. See, my Dad also served in the Battle of the Bulge, and he told us some of the stories, but I know there were many he didn't tell us. My Dad wasn't in the same unit as yours, but it was the same WWII. God Speed Hank, and watch over your family while wearing your new Angel Wings. Send them signs so they know you are still watching....

Hank was the best, and I will miss him greatly. He was my next door neighbor since 1953. Hank & Betty and my parents Howard & Charlotte were best of friends, and for me & my brother Jeff it was like living next door to an aunt & uncle. Hank was a true role model for me. He was honest, loyal, trustworthy, brave, was quick to share a laugh & quick to offer help whenever needed. Hank was the Last of the Ryan
Ave. Mohicans, and nobody can replace him. His was truly a life lived well. Farewell old friend!---Kent Hazen
