PETER C. SKOU Obituary
Peter Christian Skou born 10/4/44 took his own life on 10/30/17 in the home where he lived his entire life. Having cerebral palsy did not prevent Pete from living a full and rewarding life. He enjoyed the wildlife at his cabin in Ely, MN as well as riding his ATV. He took pride in his '69 Corvette Stingray. Pete had a long career at the USPS. Many relatives remember him as the single guy who never forgot to annually send a hand signed Christmas card. Pete was preceded in death by loving parents Jorgen and Clara and elder brother Curtiss. One aunt as well as many cousins and friends survive him. Pete's family offers a special thank you to Fred and Don and the many other friends and neighbors whose help enabled Pete to continue to live in his own home and enjoy visits to his cabin. Pete's remains will be taken to Acacia Park Cemetery on a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Guests are asked to arrive at the Washburn McReavy, Nakomis Chapel, 1838 E Minnehaha Parkway, Mpls., MN 55407 (612-721-1651) on Friday, July 20 at 10:30 AM for funeral procession to Acacia Park Cemetery, 2151 Pilot Knob Road, Mendota Heights, MN 55120 (651-452-1555) for a graveside memorial service.
