Moments ago, I discovered that Pastor Wiens is now with the Great Shepherd. My prayer is that the Lord is your dwelling place during this season of loss; all the while, “…we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.” 2 Cor 5:8 ESV

I am very saddened to hear of Pastor Wiens death. When I look back, I see that I grew so strongly in my faith under his pastorship at New Life Church. I am sure there are hundreds of others who would testify the same thing. He was an excellent teacher, and an example of godliness. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Dear Patti Tim and Scott, I was shocked to hear that my pastor had passed away. I was not able to personally wish you my condolences today but your have family had a great impact on my life and want to thank you. We have lost a great man and heaven has gained a great one.

Dearest Patti and family:
I just ran into Dan Schmidt at work today and he told me of Pastor Dick's passing. I want you to know how deeply I respected Pastor Dick and how great an influence he was on my life. I don't know, Patti, if you remember me, but I became a member of New Life Church in the early '80s when Gayle Mudder/Hildahl attended and Sandy Pearson was my dicipleship leader. I have so much to thank you for -- you and Dick and the New Life Church family. I love you and please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I look forward to meeting up with Pastor Dick in heaven one day along with you and other New Life family. I am remarried to my high school sweetheart, have 3 beautiful kids, and Christ is the center of our life. God bless you and keep you.

Rev. Wiens was a servant of the Lord and we so greatly appreciate his work at New Life Church and the Academy. He has blessed those who knew him and those who will only know of him. Dear Wiens Family, My thoughts and prayers are with you.He was the Reverend at Uncle AL's funeral and I can remember his heart felt eulogy for Al. I can remember holiday dinners.He also gave My wife and I Marriage counseling and presided at our wedding. He truly was giving and caring man and I will never forget him. God Bless.

Dear Patti and Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Pastor Dick's passing. He meant so much to us. He barely knew us, but when my brother had his accident, he drove 4 hours with me to go and see him in the hospital. Our relationship grew from that and we learned so much from him. He will always hold a very special place in my heart.
