Homemaker, 3M, Lake Elmo VFW Age 81, of Oakdale Passed away peacefully at The Waters of Oakdale Senior Housing with daughter Karen by her side on Aug. 8, 2018. Preceded in death by loving husband of 54 years, Ronald; parents Melford & Florence; siblings Donna Mae Schoonover & Wally; son-in-law Dale Pierce; and many more special relatives and friends; survived by children Kathie Pierce, Karen (Ross) Adrian, Kristie Brickner, Karla Beaulieu, Kenneth, & Kurt (Amy); grandchildren Naomi (Mike), Joseph (Ciara), Nicole (Jason), John (Kendall), Jenna (Brad), Neryssa, Brittany, Corey, Adam, Kayla (Ryan), Jaycee, & Brooke; great-grandchildren Ramsey, Ryker, Jorden, Elise, Isla, Kenadi, Declan, Kenzie, & Luella; siblings Dorothy (Bob) & Betty, many cousins, nieces, nephews, & dear friends. Shirley dedicated 30 years to being a loving & caring homemaker before proudly venturing to 3M Food Services for 15 more years. She was a lifetime member of the Lake Elmo VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Her hospitality was second to none, as she made everyone feel welcomed and loved. Her boisterous laugh and witty sense of humor will be sorely missed. Her self-sacrificial approach to life will continue to be our inspiration. Visitation at 9:30 am with Funeral Service at 11 am on Thurs. Aug 16 at Lutheran Church of Peace 47 South Century Ave, Maplewood. Noon luncheon followed by motorcade processional for Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, 2:30 pm Assembly Area 2. Memorials preferred.
