Terence J. HISLOP Obituary
Age 55, of Phoenix, AZ, died at 1:23 pm, Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, from injuries sustained during a family hike on Camelback Mountain in Scottsdale, AZ. Terry was born on December 21, 1963, in St. Paul, MN where he graduated from Moundsview High School. He then received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of St. Thomas and his Juris Doctor from Hamline Law School. He founded the Hislop Law Group and used his legal skills in many areas such as personal injury, legal documentation, and as a sports agent. Terry also led a very active life and his many interests included reading, golfing, biking, and hiking. He was also active in volunteering his time to help coach youth sports and teach AWANA and Sunday school classes. In addition, Terry loved to indulge his creative side and acted in numerous plays put on by Scottsdale Bible Church. He is survived by his wife Lynda, of 27 years, and their 17 year old twin boys, Joshua and Benjamin; his mother, Jenny Hislop; two brothers, Tim Hislop, wife Teresa and their sons Mike and Matt, Tom Hislop, wife Gabby and their daughter Nicole; Mother-in-law, Shirley Otness; Brother-in-law, Leon Otness, wife Beth; nephews Eric, Jacob and Anders Otness and niece Chloe Otness as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, John Hislop; grandparents, Albert and Clara Hislop and John and Mary Dombrosky. Services have been previously held. Contributions may be made to The Hislop Family with a portion of the funds being used by the Phoenix Trails Safety Task Force which along with friends will be working to make the Camelback Mountain Cholla trail safer in Terry's honor.
