Was thinking about all the wonderful Christmas celebrations at the house...the fire roaring and having the house so warm, grandma having shrimp, the tree decorated with grandmas hand knit stocking she made us every year. Lamb dinner with tangy bread. Spending time after diner in the back room assembling our LEGOS we received for gifts. I will never forget those memories, thank you for making those holiday celebrations every year. Holidays are lonely now so it makes me appreciate the memories even more.
I love you

Hi Dad, it has been eight long years since you left to join Mom. I look at your picture every day and think about how much I miss you. Some days are more painful than others. Every now and then, I'll say something you always did, or think the way you always would, and it makes me smile to realize how much we were alike. We've had a spectacular fall this year, and I know how much you would have enjoyed it. This morning as I left for work, the stars were so incredible. The Big Dipper was right over the house, and Orion's Belt was across the street. You taught me to appreciate these things, and I am still grateful. We are living in frightening times right now, and how I wish I could talk to you about my thoughts and fears. I'll press on, remembering to "take care from myself," as you always used to say. Love you Dad!

I miss you grandpa. I strive to live a life as successful and fullfilling as yours. You set the bar high, but hopefully I can make you proud. Say hi to grandma, she must be throwing some amazing dinner parties up there with her tangy bread. always remember, first eat 'a soup :)

Dearest Dad, Today is the day of your funeral and I am filled with sorrow. I miss you so much! While I am happy you are with God and Mom, I am sad I can no longer speak with or visit you. After all you have endured these past months, at last you are at peace. Until we meet again, I will love you forever in this life.

Debbie and Jamie,
Your Dad was a man whose knowledge I respected and admired. In his later years, he seemed to have a twinkle in his eye on occasion - usually one of us was the target of his wit. I know you cherish your memories of him and I pray they bring you solace.

Debbie and Family,
I’m very saddened to hear of your loss. Debbie, your father was a mentor and someone that my mom (Geri) and I looked up to, admired and respected. He was a very important part of our lives and careers. This is a very big loss to me and I will remember him forever. And I know in my heart that both Jim and Geri are enjoying a good conversation. Please let me know if there is anything we can do to help at this time.
You are in our thoughts and prayers,
Jeff and Cheryl Petersen
