Dear Barb,

You are in my thoughts and prayers.
I will not be able to be at the funeral (kids are going on a field trip--I know that you and Jeff would not want them to miss it.

Barb, Missy, Heidi and Jon,
I was shocked to hear about Jeff and am so sorry for this enormous loss. Jeff was a good man and loved his family so much... something which is all-too rare these days and something which I've always admired and respected about him. I was thinking the other day that our families go back almost 25 years. Brandon and Jon have grown up together almost like brothers. Barb, some of my best memories are of you and Jeff sitting in your lawn chairs way, way back in the outfield at the boys games with your Coleman cooler sitting between the two of you. The sight of you and Jeff off in the distance sitting side by side watching our boys grow before our eyes always made me smile... and makes me smile still today. I know how close your family is and that you'll get each other through this somehow. I also know you've always opened your hearts and your home to everyone, no questions asked. So I hope you know that you have a much bigger family out here than you even realize. I can't take away the pain from the loss you're suffering right now, but please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. If there's ever anything you need, don't hesitate for one second to call. I love Jon the same way you love Brandon and I can't imagine how much this is hurting all of you.

Peace and love to you all.

Jeff is greatly loved & and will be missed deeply. I know there are no words that can ease your pain now, but please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I will forever cherish the memories of growing up with Jeff and the Bishop family….sleepovers on the weekends, hockey and baseball games, vacations at Sha Sha/Rainy Lake & our hunting trips up north. The Bishops always made me feel like I was part of their family.

Our deepest sympathies on your loss.
