May 15, age 93 of South St. Paul Survived by Nick (Sheila), daughter- in-law Leslie Motu; 9 grandchildren, Benjamin (Sarah), Natalie (Derek), Nicholas, Joseph, Theodore, Mitchell, Christina, Eliot & Alexander; 5 great-grandchildren, Blake, Anthony, Cameron, Caleb & Sophia. Preceded in death by husband Rev. Ilie Motu, son Mitchell Motu, daughter Eleanora Motu, parents Mitchel V. (Eleanore) Choban; sisters Martha White, Patricia Pletos and Maria Borka. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stefan Romanian Orthodox Church 350 5th Ave No. SSP. Visitation 1 hour before service at church. Interment, Oak Hill Cemetery. Ella became a LPN in the 1950's and worked as a nurse into her 70's. She served her church alongside her husband the Rev Motu playing organ, managing monthly dinners and overseeing church activities for over 50 years. Ella loved her family, The City of South St. Paul, All things Romanian and her God. Memorials preferred to church.
