Jacqueline Mary TURSSO Obituary
Age 73 Of Sunfish Lake Jacqueline "Jackie" Tursso, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2017, surrounded by her loving family, after a heroic battle with pancreatic cancer. Jackie was born in Saint Paul, MN in 1943, the second of five children. She was a 1961 graduate of Derham Hall High School and attended the University of Minnesota. Jackie began her career as a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines. After becoming a mother, Jackie chose a career "on the ground" with Aetna. In 1971, she joined Blue Cross Blue Shield. After 22 years of devoted service, she retired as a Senior Manager of Human Resources. Jackie married in 1964 and had three daughters. In 1977, she married Dennis Tursso, the love of her life, with whom she shared a blessed 40-year marriage. Jackie LOVED life and will be remembered for her kindness, strength, style and wit. She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her passions were numerous but topping the list was spending time with family, spoiling her grandchildren, Longboat Key sunsets, the Minnesota Vikings, traveling, decorating and shopping with the girls. Jackie is preceded in death by her parents John and Willamarie Hoffmann. She is survived by her husband Dennis; daughters Shannon (Mark) Buschman, Melissa (Carl) Wangberg and Michelle (Brad) Rencher; grandchildren Morgan, Abigail, Anamaria, Jack, Olivia, Emily, William and Lauren; siblings Bill (Joyce) Hoffmann, Greg (Nancy) Hoffmann, Michael (Jean) Hoffmann and Stephanie (Geoff) Laramy; many nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored. This beautiful lady will be greatly missed, never forgotten. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Friday, February 17, 2017, at Nativity of our Lord Catholic Church (324 S. Prior Ave., St. Paul). Visitation 4-8 PM Thursday, February 16th at O'Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home (575 Snelling Ave. So., St. Paul).
