Funeral services for Mrs. Katrina Y. Williams Carter, 43, Humble, formerly of Tyler, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015, at Galilee Baptist Church, Flint, with the Rev. Oscar Matlock officiating, and the Rev. Maurice Ricks as eulogist.

Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Community Funeral Home of Tyler. Mrs. Carter died June 22, 2015, at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital, Humble.

She was born Sept. 2, 1971, in Jacksonville and had resided in Jacksonville, Tyler, Houston and Humble. She attended John Tyler High School, Tyler Junior College, Stephen F. Austin State University and the University of Houston. She was a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, Humble. She was also a teacher, child advocate, instructional consultant in the Galena Park School District, Women's Ministry at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church and affiliated with Houston Mocha Mom's group. Mrs. Carter retired from Galena Park School District as a teacher.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, uncles and aunts.

Survivors include spouse, Karl Carter; daughter, Kaiya L. Carter, both of Humble; parents, the Rev. Anthony and Bobbie Williams, Tyler; sister, Alesha L. Williams, Tyler; uncle, David Black, Jacksonville; aunts, Calverta Miller and Everlyn Black, both of Jacksonville, Ola Miller, Tyler, Lola Faye Hill and Onima Dardy, Bullard.

Viewing will be Friday, June 26, 2015, from 1 to 9 p.m. at Community Funeral Home of Tyler.
