Rose Whitney Obituary
Born June 23, 1926, in Salisbury, the daughter of John and Annie (Funas) Jurta Sr., and predeceased by her husband, Charles Edward Whitney who died in 1997 after 47 years, also a stepson in 1955 Charles Dennis Whitney, four brothers John Jr., Paul, George, Steve, and one sister, Elizabeth Lowell.
She graduated in 1947 from Andover High School, and worked for the Goodell Company for 33 years before her retirement in 1988.
Survived by one daughter, Harriet Ann Whitney of Antrim, one step son, Ralph And Carole Whitney, of Oregon, one Brother, Sam Whitney, five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

services: Graveside services will be held Sunday, Oct. 26, at 2 p.m. in Butler Cemetery, Deering.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to a charity of your choice.

It was a blessing to be with Rose. She was a rare soul, thankful for the smallest favors and faithfully remembering her friends. It will be a joy to see her again in Glory. My deepest sympathy to you, Harriet, in the loss of your mother.
