PLYMOUTH - Joyce (Philbrick) MacDonald, 79, of Plymouth, passed away on May 6, 2013, at the Golden View Nursing Home in Meredith.
Joyce was the daughter of Edgar H. Philbrick Sr. and Lillian (Joyce) Philbrick of Plymouth. She grew up in the town of Plymouth and enjoyed the love of many friends and family.

Over the years, she enjoyed antiquing, flower gardening and acquiring historical knowledge of her beloved town of Plymouth. She was a loving aunt and enjoyed spending time with her niece, Kara, who died in 1998, and she thought the world of her two brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; her brother, Keith Philbrick and his wife, Shelly; a niece, Hilary Mackey; four nephews, Christian and Cabot Philbrick and Jonathan and Joel Delude; and three great-nephews, Adam, Auden and Gray.

She was my first grade teacher in the Bow Mills School. For that 1 school year I was someone special, I was someone to somebody who didn't want anything back from me. She made me feel happy. No one has repeated that truly special feeling I had in 1st grade ever since. I often have thought of her + wished I knew where she was. So sad today when I saw she was in a home only a few miles down the street from me....She was a great lady, she made a difference in my life!

Dear Keith and Ken, Cami and my thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. I enjoyed seeing you, Ken, and Joyce while visiting my mother and brother's family when I came to Plymouth from Florida, and remember how much you and Joyce helped mom settle into Prince Haven. Your kindness will always be remembered. Joyce's parents, Lillian and Eddie, and she and her brothers were such wonderful friends of ours (the Tophams) we lived down a few houses on Broadway from the 40's to the 70's. love to you both, Cami Topham and Susan Topham Monier
