John L. Maciejewski

MANCHESTER - John Louis Maciejewski died peacefully Oct. 12, 2013, with his children by his side, and went to join his wife Mary.

John was born April 19, 1925, to Urzula and Joseph Maciejewski. He resided in Manchester all his life. He graduated from Central High School in 1940. Upon graduation he joined the U.S. Navy and served on the USS Vincennes in World War II. He returned and worked as a self-employed contractor until he retired. He loved hunting, fishing, weekend trips with his family, and just being a good friend to everybody.

He leaves behind four children, John Jr., of Truckee, Calif., Elaine R. Lovedahl of Albuquerque, N.M., Peter and Stephen, both of California; brothers Walter of Everett, Mass., and Joseph Jr. of Manchester; two sisters, Florence Anderson and Josie Sad, both of Manchester; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He will be missed by all who knew him.
