Martha M. Alibrio

BEDFORD - Martha M. Alibrio, 88, of Bedford, died May 8, 2013, at the Bedford Hills Center after a brief illness.

She was born on May 12, 1924 in Purvis, Miss., the daughter of Edward and Anna (Graves) Murphy. She grew up in Philadelphia, Miss., and was a graduate of Philadelphia High School and attended Decatur College. She was employed for many years as a dictationist at the Providence Journal.

Martha was an avid bridge player and traveled extensively to local and regional tournaments achieving Life Master status. She was the past president of the Resident Association of Bedford Hills. She will be remembered as a loving mother and aunt to many nephews and nieces.

Members of her family include her son, John Alibrio and his wife Lorie of Bedford; her loving companion Jack Sullivan of Manchester; her son Eugene Alibrio and his wife Mary Jo of Manchester; and her two grandchildren, Gina Alibrio and John Alibrio.


services: Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 13, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., corner of Beech Street, in Manchester, followed by a memorial service.
