I remember a lot of great things about Aunt Madeleine.
First, she was always very thoughtful - like my siblings have mentioned, she never forgot a birthday - and she would always come over for one when she was in good health.
Second, I remember how tidy the Mirror Street house always was - a place for everything and everything in its place! And the house was always immaculate.
I remember her special onion and cream cheese dip; I think I would cleverly figure out how to eat 90% of it!
I also recall that she was the keeper of Bussiere family relics, such as the gown that we were all baptized in. I am sure it's still tucked lovingly away in a special place.
I also remember how meticulous she was about little details that were important. I am sure that this part of her character is why she worked at Catholic Charities for so long.
I will miss Aunt Madeleine dearly. That said, I am pleased that she had a happy death surrounded by loved ones. May she enjoy her well deserved rest, and may we look forward to see her again in the next world.

I remember Madeleine when I first was employed at New Hampshire Catholic Charities back in 1976. She impressed me with her abilities. May she rest in peace.
