Robert Dion Obituary

MANCHESTER - Robert A. Dion, 71, of Manchester, died at his home.He was born in Manchester on March 13, 1943, to Leo and Marie Ange (Robert) Dion. He graduated from Bishop Bradley High School and was a lifelong resident of Manchester.He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 to 1967.Mr. Dion worked for the U.S. Postal Service for many years and retired as postmaster at the North Salem Post Office. He had also worked at Moore Business Forms in Manchester.He was an avid collector of stamps and ran the monthly stamp show at the Nashua Holiday Inn. He also had a significant collection of antique postcards.Mr. Dion served as president of both the New Hampshire chapter of retired postmasters and the New Hampshire and Manchester stamp associations The family includes a son, Matthew T. Dion; grandchildren, Nicolas Dion, Alexi Focosi, Ava Focosi and Michael Focosi and nieces, nephews and cousins.

SERVICES: Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, April 4, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester. Burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester will be at a later date.Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr., Suite 110, Bedford, 03110.To leave a message of condolence, visit www.lambertfuneralhome.com.

A very sad occurrence in the death of Robert and his wife Constance. They will be missed by friends and the families and the many classmates that Robert and Constance came to remain in touch with over the years. May their dearly departed souls rest in peace in the house of the Lord.
