LINCOLN - Marvin L. Dolinsky of Pollard Pines Road passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at his home following a long illness. He was 73.

Born on Aug. 13, 1939, in New Bedford, Mass., he was the son of David and Dora (Stuart) Dolinsky.

Marvin was raised and educated in New Bedford, Mass. He then earned a bachelor's degree in accounting.

He served in the U.S. Army.

On Feb. 12, 1988, he married Beverly Robinson.

A longtime resident of New Bedford, he owned and operated Davy's Locker, a well-known restaurant in New Bedford for more than 35 years.

He retired to Lincoln 20 years ago.

Marvin enjoyed hiking in the White Mountains and swimming. He had an avid interest in American Civil War history and enjoyed traveling to areas of Civil War interest.

He will be remembered for his absolute sense of humor, selfless giving and graciousness.

He was the beloved husband of Beverly (Robinson) Dolinsky of Lincoln, and cherished father of Jeffrey Dolinsky and his wife, Sonia of Dartmouth, Mass.; he also leaves his sister, Mitzi Marcus and her husband, Richard of Stoughton, Mass., nephews, William Crompton of Cleveland, Ohio, James Crompton and his wife, Amanda of West Lake, Ohio, and Michael Crompton of Thornton; great-nephews, Mathis Crompton and Gabe Corum and a great-niece, Ava Crompton.; and sister-in-law Kay Robinson of Thornton.


SERVICES: Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. today, Feb 18, at Fournier-Hale Funeral Home, 144 Main St., North Woodstock. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Hebrew Congregation Cemetery in Bethlehem. Shiva will be observed from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the family home, 26 Pollard Pines Road, No. 26, Lincoln.
