Paul Archambault Obituary

CLAREMONT - Paul Andre Archambault, 61, passed away Monday January 29, 2018 at Cedar Hill Nursing Home in Windsor, VT after a brief battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Paul was born in Manchester, NH on May 16, 1956, the seventh child of Roland and Doris (Bellemore) Archambault. He grew up in the neighborhoods of the East Side and shared many years of adventure with his brothers, sisters, and friends, including riding his bike to Lake Massabesic to go camping and fishing, hiking and climbing the local mountains, and camping out during the blizzard of 1978 with his cousin David, to name only a few!

He was an artist well-known for the beautiful pen-and-ink drawings he created of historical buildings and sites in Manchester and throughout the state of NH. In 1992, he was selected by the State Lottery to produce four classic NH scenes, which appeared on a series of scratch tickets. He established his own business, Nostalgic Images by Paul A. Archambault, and produced drawings of many local Manchester and NH sites, including Pine Island Park, Ash Street School, The Ledge in Deerfield Park, Lake Massabesic, and the Mount Washington Observatory. One of his great loves was baseball and he created a series of drawings of the local championship teams, as well as one of Gill Stadium featuring the three professional players who grew up in Manchester. The latter included his dear friend, 1979 Cy Young Award-winning Orioles pitcher, the late Mike Flanagan. Paul was also recognized by the American-Canadian Genealogical Society of Manchester, NH for his artistic contributions to the city.

His love of the outdoors, fly fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping were showcased in his drawings and photographs. A film photographer since his days at Memorial High School, he focused on digital photography later on in his life in the Upper Valley of NH. Known as Paul Andre Photography, he produced fine art images, as well as portraits, senior pictures, newborn and family sessions, weddings, birthdays, photo booths, and his favorite annual Halloween Spook Shoot, which was a free photo booth he set up in his driveway to take pictures of the trick-or-treaters. One of his greatest joys was seeing his children all follow in his creative footsteps with one a photographer, one an architect, and one a video game designer.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nina (DePasquale) Archambault, whom he married in 2012; son, Andrew Paul Archambault of Casselberry, FL; daughter, Caryn Ann Grape, and her husband, Ben, of Lakewood, CO; daughter, Jesslyn Marie Braught, of Bozeman, MT; and stepson, Tucker Raymond Jordan, of Claremont, NH. He is also survived by his brother, Maurice Archambault (Chris) of Robesonia, PA; brother, Emile Archambault (Janice), of Manchester, NH; brother, Marc Archambault (Eve) of Manchester, NH; sister, Denise Archambault, of Concord, NH; sister, Suzanna Demers, of Ormond Beach, FL; his Aunt and Uncle, Paul and Shirley Bellemore, of Manchester, NH; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Henri and Donald Archambault, his nephew, Donald Archambault Jr., and his beloved brother-in-law, Roger Demers. We are sure they are all together now, sitting around the campfire after a day of fly fishing, drinking wine, and discussing who caught the biggest fish!

A celebration of his life and work will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at The Common Man Restaurant in Claremont, NH. Visiting hours will begin at 1 p.m. to visit with the family and view his artwork, followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. and a buffet dinner from 4 to 6 p.m.

Memorial contributions can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.

You surely will not be forgotten.
From our days in grade school St Augustine and on.
I boasted so many times of your drawings that were in Bob Nadeaus subs to people I knew stating I know that guy that did those, I went to grammar school with him. Also how you used to get into so much trouble in class because your total interest ess always drawing something on your book covers instead of paying attention to teacher.
Camping up at lake massabesic near deerneck bridge when we got there on our sting ray bikes when we were very young lads.
May you rest in peace Paul.

I am deeply sadden to hear the news of Pauls passing. My deepest condolences goes out to all family, and friends.
He brings back some very warm fond memories of a time long ago. St Augustine where we were in the same class all the way through 8th grade. One of those memories that stands out is the fact that Paul use to get in so much trouble for always doodling, sketching, drawing on scrap pieces of paper, or on the book cover of his books which were actually paper bags from the grocer. Who would of known he become such a talented artist.
The days of camping Deernick bridge area Massebesic lake, Cub scouts St Augustine, and all the bike rides we participated in. So many other good memories too. I am so proud to have known him and to be a good friend in the early days of life.
RIP Paul you will be missed by many.

RIP Paul.

I had the honor of knowing Paul and spending some great times with him. He was a very talented man and I sorry I didn't know him when he was younger. I met him through my sister, Nina, who married him. I was proud to have him as a brother-in-law. Most importantly he made my sister happy, they were very wonderful together and he helped my nephew Tucker(Jordan) to mature and become a man. You will be greatly missed Paul.

Paul was a very special friend that I have missed for a long time. He was a groomsman at my wedding in 1980 in Manchester NH. We drove cab together for Radio Cab, lived together on Dix St with five other friends, had many fun times together. Just lately I was thinking of trying to track him down. I feel bad I've waited this long. My deepest and sincerest condolences to all his family. I would love to come to the memorial but I live in Brownsville Texas near the Mexico border and my daughter from South Africa is visiting with us right now. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
