DOVER - Philip B. Drew, 89, of Robinwood Avenue, Dover, passed away peacefully at his home among some of his loved ones on Feb. 21, 2013. He was a longtime resident Dover.
Philip was born in Portsmouth on Dec. 22, 1923, the son of Harry Russell and Alta Lousie (Holman) Drew.
He was in the U.S. Army/Air Corp and was a World War II veteran. Philip was in the Calvary and the Honor Guard and was a sharpshooter. He worked at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 28 years as a pipefitter.
He is survived by his wife of 60-plus years, Pearl E (Trefrey) Drew; six children, Gary A., Steven E., Sharon E., Marjorie M., Allan K., preceded at (5 weeks), Phillip E. Drew; grandchildren Steven E. Drew, Andrea L. Brown, Lori A. Berard, Michelle M. Dotchin, Justin P., Mathew O., Scott L., Joseph D., Oliver L., Owen M., Hannah I. Drew, and Alan S. Drew; as well as 11 great-grandchildren. His sisters include Mildred N. and Bernice M., and brothers Russell P. and Ralph H. His surviving siblings are brothers Kenneth I. and Roland A. and sister Bertha P.
