Hooksett - Mr. Richard A. Bussiere, 78, joined his Savior Jesus Christ on Dec. 10, 2013, at his home in Hooksett.

He was born in Pembroke on April 15, 1935, the son of Arthur and Harriett (Duckworth) Bussiere.

He joined the U.S. Army in 1954, serving in Germany with the 77th Ordnance and was later assigned to the Army Reserve. He was a member of the John J. Maguire American Legion Post 2860 and the VFW Post 28, both of Suncook. He traveled to Alaska as an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Suncook Valley Rod & Gun Club.
