William "Bill" Fitzsimmons, 83, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida passed away, after a long period of failing health, Monday December 7, 2020 at a nearby hospital. He was born in Manchester, NH on March 4, 1937, the son of the late Wilbur and Mary (Lewandowski) Fitzsimmons and had been a resident in Florida for the past year, prior to which formerly living in Manchester, NH and Clarksville, NH.

Bill retired from GTE Sylvania Lighting Division, followed by security positions and van driver for Easter Seals. He was a US Army Veteran. He attended Manchester Public Schools.

His hobbies included fishing "special holes" @ Back Lake in Pittsburg NH, and "opening day" Lucas Pond with Rufus and Jan, as well as Chapais, PQ for walleyes with Phil & Donald. His hunting knowledge beyond deer and goose to fur trapping, many friends continue to sport beaver hats, ear muffs, and a beaver coats. He was also a Patriots fan and enjoyed conversation with a very dear friend John. His softer side included baking : blueberry muffins (from scratch) and golombki, to follow his Polish legacy. He belonged many social clubs in Manchester: Polish American Club, TTK, Mt Royal, and British American Club.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Lucille (Cabana) Fitzsimmons of New Smyrna Beach, Florida. His daughter, the light of his life, Tracey Fitzsimmons Sheets and husband David E Sheets of Orlando FL, one grandson Samson D Sheets and his wife Brie Sheets, one great-granddaughter Izabelle M Sheets, as well as sister-in-law Carol (Cabana) Tatarinowicz of Hampton Falls NH. He was predeceased by his nephew, Eric T Tatarinowicz.

A private family gathering has been held. Cremation remains to be scattered at a later date.
