MANCHESTER -- Jean Paul Allard, 49, died March 16, 2011, at his residence.

He was born on July 1, 1961, in Manchester to the late Ronald J. and Lucille (Charest) Allard.

He was raised and educated in Manchester, graduating from West High School. He earned his bachelor degree in animal science from the University of New Hampshire and his master's degree in animal nutrition from Penn State.

Mr. Allard worked as a poultry nutritionist for OK Industries in Fort Smith, Ark., during his entire career.

He was a resident of Fort Smith for the past 20 years and moved back to Manchester a month ago.

Mr. Allard had a great love of animals. He was a world traveler and loved to play and watch sports.

His family includes his siblings, Bruce Allard, Susan Allard and Keith Allard, all of Manchester.

IN HIS LIFE: He was predeceased by his sister Pauline. He is also survived by two nieces, Samantha and Shannon Allard, both of Manchester.

SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Private burial will be at St. Augustin Cemetery in Manchester. In lieu of flowers donations in Mr. Allard's name can be made to your local ASPCA. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements. For more information, please go to
