Manchester - Evelyn L. Leclerc, 76, died April 3, 2014, at Catholic Medical Center.She was born on Jan. 18, 1938, in Manchester, the daughter of the late Clarence and Irene (Gagnon) Maheu.Most recently she worked as a chef at the Villa Augustina.Evelyn had been an active parishioner at St. Edmund's Church, serving on the liturgical board and as a eucharistic minister until its closure.Evelyn loved cooking, sewing and flower gardening. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.Family members include her husband of 53 years, Albert Leclerc of Manchester; two daughters, Cheryl Howell of Fruitland Park, Fla., and Cynthia Turcotte of New Haven, Conn.; five grandchildren, Michael, Corey, Joey, Allysha and Magnus; two brothers, Roland Maheu of Leesburg, Fla., and Albert Maheu of New Boston; two sisters, Theresa Cloutier of Goffstown and Bernadette Pettis of Clearwater, Fla.; and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.She was predeceased by her sisters, Constance Vieira, Fleurette Beaulieu, Frances Marcotte and Irene Chamberlain, and her brothers, Lionel, Archie and Paul Maheu.


services: Her memorial gathering will be held at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Parish of the Transfiguration, at the corner of Alsace and Kelley streets, Manchester.
