Bedford - Madeline Kilton Beck, 91, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2014, at Community Hospice House, Merrimack, surrounded by her loving family.She was born in Manchester on Aug. 13, 1922, the daughter of Earle and Vera (Putnam) Kilton. Madeline graduated from Manchester West High School in 1939.She was joined in marriage with Edward C. Beck on Sept, 6, 1941, and enjoyed spending every day of their 72-year marriage together.Madeline was very active politically at the state and federal levels. She served on the boards of the American Red Cross, Easter Seals and the YWCA, and volunteered with Elliot Seniors and the VA hospital. She was a real estate broker and owner/ operator of the Beck Agency for 20 years. Madeline enjoyed playing the organ and spending time at their home in Hampton Beach.She is survived by her loving husband, Edward; three children, Marcia DeSantis and husband James, Ronald Beck and wife JoAnn and Alan Beck and wife Elizabeth; seven grandchildren, Scott DeSantis, Kimberly Goodwin, Jonathan Beck, Alison Beck, Kristin Thomas, Ashley Farris and Harrison Beck; two step-grandchildren, Alison Morgan and Douglas Morgan; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Barbara Jones and husband Bruce and Beryl Samia and husband Jerry. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Kilton; and two sisters, Eleanor Jenkins and Dorothy Goodwin.
