DANVERS, Mass. - Mary L. Frisella, 93, passed away on June 19, 2014, in Danvers.Mary was born May 1, 1921, in Bathhurst, New Brunswick, to Francis McArdle and Beatrice (McInnis). She spent her childhood in Bathurst, New Brunswick, and enjoyed telling stories to her family of her childhood memories, which were the source of much laughter.As a young adult, she moved to Boston and worked in her aunt's nursing home in Plymouth, Mass. Mary later met her husband, Edward, in Boston, while working together at the Parker House Hotel. They settled in Candia, N.H., where they raised their family of eight childen. In later years, Ed's career took them to Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Salem, Ore. Mary enjoyed current events, sports (especially the Red Sox), gardening, knitting, sewing, baking and, most importantly, spending time with her family. In their retirement, Mary and Ed traveled the United States, coast to coast, visiting family. Mary was characterized and will be remembered for her sweet disposition and remarkably quick wit.She is survived by her children, Edward of Somersworth, N.H., Philip and (Lisa) of Dunedin, Fla., Daniel of Post Falls, Idaho, Martha Wagner of Buckeye, Ariz., Beatrice of Monmouth, Ore., Mary Ann Crumley of Cottage Grove, Ore., Peter and Frances of Peabody, Mass., Andrew of North Andover, Mass.; 10 grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her siblings, Jimmy (died at birth), James, Charles, Harold, Donald (Duddie), Temple, Teresa, Kathleen, Eva and Ralph.


services: Calling hours will be Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St., Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Cathedral, Pine Street, Manchester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.Memorial donations may be sent to the Manchester V.A.
