MANCHESTER - Robert A. Cormier, 70, of Manchester, died July 17, 2014, at his residence following a lengthy illness.He was born in Manchester Feb. 2, 1944, to Adrian and Lillian (Gagne) Cormier. He was a lifelong resident of this city.Robert worked 32 years as a bus driver for the Manchester Transit Authority.For more than 20 years, he had been a member of the Sylvania Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing cribbage, motorcycles and NASCAR.He leaves his wife of 39 years, Pauline E. (Peacock) Cormier of Manchester; three children, Robert Cormier of Manchester, Michael Cormier and wife Dawn of Hooksett and Tammy Chalbeck of Pittsfield; two stepchildren, Jean P. Cormier of Florida and Ann-Marie Therrien and husband David of Goffstown; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Cormier and wife Margo of Epsom; nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by two siblings, Irene Kucharczyk and Jean Paul Cormier.


SERVICES: Calling hours are Sunday, July 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. The funeral is Monday, July 21, at noon in the funeral home.
