GILMANTON -- Rhonda (Austin) Young, 47, died July 9, 2010, after a long illness.

She was born Nov. 22, 1962, in Franklin, to Faith Austin and Leland Austin. She was a prominent member of the New Hampshire and Massachusetts Bead Society. She was the owner of Creative Connections Art Glass. She was a teacher and maker of art glass beads, jewelry and fused glass art. She was also a strong advocate for the mentally and physically handicapped.

She loved life and taking long rides in her husband's 1955 Oldsmobile. Most important to her was family and friends.

Family members, in addition to her mother, include her loving husband of 26 years, Shawn Young, a sister, Vikki Austin; 11 nieces and nephews; three great-nieces and great-nephews; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

SERVICES: Calling hours are Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main St., Concord. A celebration of life will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel.
