MANCHESTER - Cecelia H. (Myers) O'Neil, 81, of Manchester, died April 19, 2013, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Mass., surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Dover on May 28, 1931, the daughter of James and Marion (Tapscott) Myers. She was raised in Manchester and was educated in the local school system. Cecelia married her high school sweetheart, Denis F. O'Neil Sr., on Jan. 16, 1954, and they shared a wonderful 65 years together.

She will be remembered as an extremely supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished her time with family and friends. Above all else, family was truly her pride and joy.

Cecelia's love for "late afternoons" on the beach brought her great solace during the peaceful moments and utter joy when shared with the bustling kids. An incessant supporter of her family's athletic endeavors, Cecelia had a visible and constant presence at all of their events. At the same time, she took significant interest in the seemingly trivial details of their daily lives. To her, everyone's day had importance. In addition to her love for family, Cecelia treasured her lunches with "the gals" and her time with those from the LAOH.

Family members include her loving husband, Denis F. O'Neil of Manchester; their children, Joe and Cynthia O'Neil of Hampton, daughter-in-law Christine O'Neil of Bedford, Sheila and Doug Smith of Manchester, Maureen O'Neil of Manchester, Denis and Reeny O'Neil of Hooksett, Kevin and Alyssa O'Neil of Bedford, Ellen O'Neil and Mike Robinson of South Hadley, Mass., Meghan O'Neil-Fisher and Rich Fisher of Manchester, Tara O'Neil of Manchester; her grandchildren, Colin, Scott, Corey, Sheena, Marissa, Kara, Sarah, Caitlin, Brighid, Kaleigh, Shannon, Liam, Kelseigh, Maeve, Kloeigh, Mairead, Shea; great-grandchildren, Carlee, Shawn, Shaylah, Piper, Nolan, Sierrah; her siblings, Kathleen Perkins of Manchester, Joanne Hughes of Manchester, James Myers of Dover; her two surviving aunts, Dorothy Tapscott of Somersworth and Eileen Cole of Dover; many nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends.

She was predeceased by her son, Shawn O'Neil, and her siblings, Theresa Stewart, Nancy Slater and Paul Myers.
