Robert Lavoie Obituary

Goffstown – Robert Leo Lavoie, 75, died August 11, 2013 at Catholic Medical Center following a lengthy illness.He was born in Manchester on August 22, 1937 the son of Arthur and Adeline (Salvail) Lavoie.

Prior to his retirement he was a master carpenter for Pro-Con and most recently worked in the maintenance department at Merchants Motors.

He was a lifetime member of NH Fish & Game and enjoyed all sports, especially, hunting, fishing, baseball, golf and bowling. He also loved to garden, chop wood and feed his wood stove.

Family members include his wife of 30 years, Janet (Collins) Lavoie of Goffstown, 4 sons, Robert M. Lavoie of Florida, William Lavoie of Westmoreland, Ronald Lavoie and his wife, Pamela of Hooksett, Richard Lavoie and his wife Stephanie of Manchester, 1 daughter, Suzanne Venkataraman and her husband, Srini of N. Smithfield, RI., 1 step son, Jeffrey Genest of Bedford, 1 step daughter, Lisa Abramowicz and her husband, Andy of Londonderry. He also leaves 6 grandchildren, Jennifer, Chad, Chantel, Rachel, Aravind, Vanessa, 2 step granddaughters, Brittni, Holly, and 1 sister, Irene Morency of Manchester. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Maurice, Armand, Paul and 1 sister, Jeanne.

services: A graveside committal service will take place on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 12 Noon in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Robert's name to NH Fish & Game, Attn: Ellen MacNeil, 11 Hazen Dr., Concord, NH 03301.

Bob was a wonderful friend and neighbor. Marc, Alicia, Amanda and I will miss him terribly. He had such a kind, generous and warm heart. We will miss seeing him every day working in the yard and his beloved garden. May you rest in peace Bob.
