Joseph Bolduc Obituary

FREMONT - Joseph "Brodie" Gerard Bolduc Jr., 69, died on Dec. 25, 2014, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his family at the Exeter Hospital. He was born in Exeter on Jan. 29, 1945.Brodie lived his entire life in Fremont. An avid outdoorsman, he was a certified New Hampshire professional logger and won various awards for his outstanding forestry skills from the Society of American Foresters. He also participated in and won several woodsman competitions. Earlier in his career as a logger, he was employed by the Spaulding and Frost Barrel Factory. He was a member of the New Hampshire Timber Council and the freemasons. Brodie was a former volunteer firefighter for the town of Fremont and plowed snow for the town and the state for many years.He enjoyed many outdoor activities including hunting with his many friends, fishing with his family up north and working in his garden. He also loved playing cards with his family and spending time with his children and grandchildren.He was predeceased by his father, Joseph G. Bolduc Sr., who died in 2011; his sister, Joan Bolduc, who died in 1946; and by his brother, Ted "Teddy" Bolduc, who died in 2013.He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia (Copp) Bolduc, of Fremont; three sons, Joseph and his wife Sandy Bolduc of Fremont, Corey and his wife Julie Bolduc of Raymond, and Jamie and his wife Tara Bolduc of Epping; daughter Tammy (Bolduc) and her husband Lou Vezina of Chicopee, Mass.; eight grandchildren, Troy, Taylor, Brandon, Brooke, Tiffani and Seth Bolduc, and Nathan and Kyle Vezina; his mother, Phyllis (Burleigh) Bolduc, of Raymond; his sister, Veronica "Sissa" and her husband Kenneth Pitkin of Fremont; five brothers, Jesse and his wife Meredith "Chickee" Bolduc, Peter and his wife Dianne Bolduc, John and his wife Sheryl Bolduc, and Charles "Chuck" and his wife Carlene "Charlie" Bolduc, all of Fremont, and Robert "Bob" Bolduc of Pittsfield; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Bella.

SERVICES: A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 11 a.m., at the People's United Methodist Church, 363 Main St., Fremont.
