BEDFORD - Beth Ann O'Hara, 73, wife, mother, grandmother, theater director and artist, passed away Aug. 19, 2015, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born in Waterbury, Conn., on Oct. 6, 1941, a daughter of Herman and Goldie (Trapsky) Halpin.Beth Ann married Donald Silverman in October 1961. Although divorced, she and Donald remained close. She married? John O'Hara in June 1987. Around the same time she founded the New Thalian Players where she produced and directed 50 plays over 25 years, culminating in her winning the first Life Time Achievement Award given by the New Hampshire Counsel of the Arts. All shows were performed to sold-out audiences. In addition, she held special performances for local public school children so they could experience live theater. She was known by all as a woman of incredible courage, brilliance, creativity, generosity and passionate liberal values.Beth Ann is survived by a sister and many? children, stepchildren, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as by ?her former husband and his wife, all of whom she loved deeply and prodigiously. She was preceded in death by the great ?love of her life, John O'Hara.

SERVICES: A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, at Goodwin Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 607 Chestnut St., Manchester. Burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Doctors Without Borders at
